How to Make Sure You Are Renting From a Legit Bounce House Company

If you are planning a birthday, school event, or backyard party, renting a bounce house is one of the best ways to make the day fun and exciting. But before you book anything, you need to make sure the company you choose is safe, insured, and trustworthy. A little screening protects your guests and helps you avoid scams, hidden fees, or unsafe equipment.

This guide explains how to check if a bounce house rental company is legit and how to choose one you can trust for your next event.

1. Check for Insurance and Licensing

A reliable bounce house company will always carry liability insurance. This protects you if something goes wrong during the rental. Many parks and venues even require a Certificate of Insurance before you can set up an inflatable.

What to ask for:

• Do you carry liability insurance
• Can you provide a COI for parks or venues
• Are your inflatables inspected and compliant

If a company cannot answer these questions, do not book with them.

2. Look for Clear Safety Policies

Legit rental companies take safety seriously. They follow proper anchoring rules, age limits, and weather guidelines. They also train their staff to set up inflatables correctly.

A good company will clearly explain:

• Age and weight limits
• Wind limits (usually 15 to 20 mph)
• Setup rules
• Required supervision
• Emergency procedures

If the company is vague about safety, take it as a warning sign.

3. Read Recent Local Reviews

Real reviews help you see how the company treats its customers. Look for feedback on Google, Facebook, or Yelp.

Focus on reviews that talk about:

• Clean and safe equipment
• On time delivery
• Friendly staff
• Easy communication
• Honest pricing

If most reviews are old or the company has none, be careful.

4. Check Equipment Cleanliness

A legit company always keeps inflatables clean and sanitized. They should be able to explain their cleaning process without hesitation.

Ask questions like:

• Do you clean and sanitize before every rental
• Can I see recent photos or videos of your equipment

Dirty or damaged units are a clear red flag.

5. Review Their Website and Social Media

A real bounce house company will have:

• A complete website
• Photos of real inflatables
• Clear pricing
• Customer reviews
• Active social media
• Contact details

Scam companies often use fake stock photos or low-quality images.

6. Ask About Delivery, Setup, and Pickup

You need to know exactly what is included in the rental.

A legit company will explain:

• Delivery time window
• Setup process
• Anchoring method
• Required space and surface
• Power needs
• Pickup time

Anything unclear may cause issues on event day.

7. Confirm Pricing and What’s Included

A trustworthy company provides clear pricing without hidden charges.

Ask if the price includes:

• Delivery
• Setup
• Pickup
• Cleaning
• Sandbags or stakes
• Overnight rentals
• Park fees or generator fees

If the company refuses to explain charges, avoid booking.

8. Make Sure They Answer Your Questions Clearly

A legit company communicates well. They respond quickly, speak professionally, and give helpful details. If they avoid your questions or pressure you to book fast, this is a sign of trouble.

9. Look for Real Event Photos and Videos

Real companies show:

• Their team setting up units
• Real customers using inflatables
• Actual units, not stock images

This helps you confirm they own the equipment they claim to rent.

10. Trust Your Instincts

If something feels off, trust your gut. There are plenty of professional bounce house rental companies like Kangaroo Bounce Party, so you never need to settle for one that feels unsafe or unreliable.

Final Thoughts

Screening a bounce house rental company only takes a few minutes, but it protects your guests and your budget. Look for insurance, safety rules, real photos, clear pricing, and recent reviews. A trustworthy company will explain every detail and make the rental process simple.

When you choose the right provider, your party becomes safer, easier, and more enjoyable for everyone.
