Top Questions to Ask Before Renting a Bounce House in Las Vegas

Planning an event in Las Vegas and thinking of renting a bounce house to add some excitement? Bounce houses are perfect for birthdays, school events, community gatherings, or any celebration. However, ensuring a safe, clean, and smooth rental experience starts with asking the right questions. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you choose the ideal inflatable for your event and avoid common pitfalls.

What Safety Features Are Provided?

When planning a party, especially for kids, safety should be your number one concern. Reputable bounce house rental companies in Las Vegas—like Kangaroo Bounce Party—adhere to strict safety standards to minimize risks. Ask about the following safety features:

• Fire-Retardant Materials: Ensure the bounce house is made from fire-retardant vinyl that meets safety certifications.
• Reinforced Seams: Reinforced stitching prevents wear and tear during use, keeping children safe while they play.
• Protective Netting: This prevents accidental falls while allowing parents to keep an eye on the kids.
• Emergency Exits: Look for inflatables equipped with escape hatches or designated exits for quick evacuations.
• Secure Anchoring: Confirm that the company uses stakes, sandbags, or other tie-down methods to secure the inflatable.
• Safety Inspections: A reputable company will inspect their equipment regularly to ensure it’s in top condition.

Additionally, remind your guests of common safety rules, such as limiting the number of participants, removing shoes, and avoiding flips, to prevent injuries and ensure everyone enjoys the fun safely.

How Are the Bounce Houses Cleaned and Maintained?

In a city as dynamic as Las Vegas, bounce houses see heavy use during events. Cleanliness is critical to ensure a healthy play environment. At Kangaroo Bounce Party, all inflatables are meticulously cleaned and sanitized before and after each rental. Here’s what to look for:

• Sanitization Protocols: Confirm that the company uses high-quality disinfectants to remove bacteria and viruses.
• Vacuuming and Debris Removal: Inflatables should be vacuumed to remove dirt and debris.
• Drying Procedures: After cleaning, bounce houses should be properly dried to prevent mold or mildew.
• Sunlight Sanitization: Ask if the inflatables are exposed to sunlight after cleaning for added disinfection.

Pro Tip: Request to see cleaning records or photos of the sanitized equipment to ensure transparency.

What Are the Rental Terms and Policies?

Understanding the rental agreement is crucial to avoid unexpected costs or complications. Key questions to ask include:

• Rental Period Options: Can you rent the bounce house for a few hours, or do they offer overnight rentals?
• Delivery Charges: Does the company charge extra for delivery within Las Vegas and nearby areas?
• Weather Policies: What happens if it rains on your event day? Most companies offer rescheduling options in such cases.
• Deposit and Cancellation: Understand the deposit requirements and cancellation policies to avoid losing money.

Always review the rental contract carefully and clarify any ambiguous terms before signing.

What Are the Setup Requirements?

Proper setup ensures the safety and functionality of your bounce house. Discuss the following setup requirements with your rental provider:

• Location: Choose a flat, grassy area free from sharp objects or debris.
• Space Around the Inflatable: Ensure there is at least 5 feet of clearance on all sides for safe operation.
• Access to Electricity: Bounce houses typically require a 110-volt outlet within 75 feet. If unavailable, ask about generator rental options.
• Professional Setup Crew: Confirm that the company’s team will handle delivery, installation, and takedown for you.

Do You Offer Additional Services?

Some companies provide more than just bounce house rentals. Enhancing your event can be easier if you bundle services. Kangaroo Bounce Party, for instance, offers:

• Water Slides : Perfect for summer events in Las Vegas.
• Obstacle Courses : A hit for larger parties or school events.
• Interactable Games : Fun activities like dunk tank, joust interactable or inflatable basketball toss to engage all age groups.
• Concessions : Rent popcorn machines, cotton candy makers, and more to keep your guests entertained.
• Tables and Chairs : Avoid running to multiple vendors by renting all your party essentials from one place.

Ask if the company offers discounts for package deals when bundling services.

Is Liability Insurance Provided?

Liability insurance is a critical factor in your rental decision. A reputable company will offer coverage for their equipment in case of unexpected incidents. Verify:

• Coverage Details: Check if the policy includes accidents caused by equipment failure.
• Proof of Insurance: Request a certificate of insurance for your peace of mind.
• Compliance with Local Laws: Ensure the company adheres to Nevada’s safety and insurance regulations.

Are There Any Specific Power and Space Requirements?

To avoid last-minute complications, clarify the power and space needs of your bounce house:

• Electrical Needs: Ensure the setup area has an accessible power outlet. For events in remote areas, inquire about generator rentals.
• Extra Space: Provide additional room for setup, especially if renting larger inflatables like combo units or water slides.
• Clearance from Obstacles: The site should be free of overhead branches, fences, or other obstructions.

Pro Tips for a Successful Bounce House Event

• Book Early: Las Vegas is a bustling city, and rentals fill up fast, especially during weekends and holidays.
• Choose Age-Appropriate Units: Ensure the inflatable is suitable for the age range of your guests.
• Supervision: Always have an adult monitor the bounce house to enforce safety rules.
• Prepare for the Weather: Las Vegas summers can be hot. Consider renting water-based inflatables to keep guests cool.
