Additional Costs for Rent a Bounce House
When budgeting for renting a bounce house, don’t forget to account for extra services that might not be included in the base rental fee:
- Setup and Delivery Fees: Most companies charge an additional fee for setup, especially if they have to travel long distances. This can add $30 to $100+ to your total.
- Insurance and Damage Waivers: Some companies offer optional damage waivers or insurance, which may cost an extra $50 to $120+.
- Cleaning Fees: If the bounce house is returned dirty, there could be a cleaning fee of around $50 to $100+.
- Generator Rentals: If your event is in a location without easy access to electricity, you may need to rent a generator for around $100 to $120+.
Types of Inflatable Bounce Houses to Rent
When it comes to planning a party or event, inflatable bounce houses are always a big hit, and there are various types to choose from depending on the occasion and guest preferences. Below is a breakdown of the different types of inflatable bounce houses you can rent, along with what makes each one special.
General Bounce House
In recent years, the general bounce house has become a popular staple at children’s birthday parties and family events. These are the most common type of inflatable and typically feature a large, square jumping area. They’re perfect for younger children who simply want to bounce and play in a safe, soft environment.
For a small to medium-sized general bounce house, the cost usually ranges between $120 and $250, depending on size and location. These bounce houses are easy to set up and provide hours of entertainment. They are often the most budget-friendly option if you’re looking for simple, classic fun.
Combo Bounce House
The combo bounce house is an upgraded version of the standard bounce house, combining multiple elements like a bounce area, slides, climbing walls, and sometimes even basketball hoops. These inflatables are designed to keep children engaged for longer periods by offering different activities in one unit.
The cost of renting a combo bounce house generally falls between $200 and $300. The extra features and larger size make them a bit pricier, but they are perfect for events where you want to give children a more diverse play experience. Combo houses are great for birthday parties, where keeping the kids entertained for hours is a priority.
Obstacle Courses
For more interactive and energetic play, an inflatable obstacle course is a fantastic option. These inflatables are not just about bouncing—they involve climbing, crawling, sliding, and navigating through various challenges, making them perfect for kids who love a little competition.
Obstacle courses are larger and can be customized with different lengths and difficulty levels. Due to their size and complexity, they are more expensive than regular bounce houses, with rental prices typically ranging from $300 to $600. These inflatables are ideal for larger events like school fairs, family reunions, or team-building activities.
Themed Bounce Houses
If you’re planning an event around a specific theme, a themed bounce house can add the perfect touch. These bounce houses come in a variety of designs, allowing you to tailor your rental to the event’s theme or your child’s favorite characters. Here are some of the most popular options:
- Balloon Bouncer: With colorful balloon graphics, this bounce house is ideal for birthdays and festive celebrations. Prices range from $130 to $150, depending on the size.
- Castle Bouncer: A great choice for fairy-tale or adventure-themed parties, the castle bouncer is a hit among younger children who love the idea of bouncing in a medieval fortress. Rental costs usually start at $130.
- Sports Bouncer: For sports-themed events or parties for little athletes, a sports bouncer featuring footballs, basketballs, or a multi-sport design is perfect. These usually cost between $130 to $150, based on size and complexity.
- Halloween Bouncer: Ideal for spooky parties or fall festivals, this bounce house features ghosts, pumpkins, or other Halloween imagery. Themed options like these are generally available for around $150 to $250, making them a fun and affordable option for seasonal events.
Water Slide & Combo
For summer parties, nothing beats the excitement of a water slide & combo bounce house. These inflatables combine the best of both worlds—a traditional bounce house with the added thrill of a water slide. Some units even include splash pools or dual slides, making them perfect for cooling off during hot weather.
Water slide combos are slightly more expensive due to their added features and the setup involved. Prices typically range from $200 to $500, depending on the size and complexity of the unit. If you’re planning a poolside birthday party or a summer barbecue, this inflatable will keep the kids entertained for hours while helping them stay cool in the sun.
Sum Up
Hopefully, you have found the answer to how much does a jumper cost to rent. However, understanding the cost factors—such as the size, type, rental duration, and additional fees—will help you make an informed decision that fits your budget.
Prices can range from $100 to $500 or more, depending on the type of bounce house, location, and time of year. While buying a bounce house may seem like an appealing long-term investment, it comes with added responsibilities like maintenance and storage. For most people, renting is the more cost-effective and convenient choice.
Whether you’re renting a bounce house for a birthday party, school event, or corporate gathering, always prioritize safety and quality by choosing reputable companies. By planning ahead and considering factors like seasonality and rental duration, you can ensure a memorable and budget-friendly experience for everyone.
